Prospective members and visiting Kiwanians are invited to join us for lunch at our weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 12 noon at the YMCA in Fergus Falls.

Noon Kiwanis, in partnership with Service Food is bringing Supermarket Sweep to Fergus Falls! Come for a $3 lunch beforehand in the Service Food parking lot as we get ready to watch one lucky 'sweeper' fill up his or her cart!

Cost per ticket is $10 and available through Service Food or any Noon Kiwanian.

Remember our Fourth Grade essay contest winners have a meeting all focused on them! Come to this meeting to hear them read their essays, share with their teachers and parents, and meet the beneficiaries of their award-winning work.

 

11/4/2014 Meeting

Dave Jennen joins us on behalf of the Fergus Falls Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association to talk about the Young Eagle’s Program.  As part of nationwide effort to introduce children to aviation, Dave will talk about this wonderful opportunity given to children in area schools and the many volunteer pilots and ground crew required to provide on this safe, educational experience.  You won’t want to miss this program!

November is Hospice Month, and is also the 30th anniversary of Lakeland Hospice.  Mary Widiger from Lakeland will give us a history of Lakeland Hospice, from their humble beginnings to the present, and will reflect on the changes and importance of a hospice organzation in our community.

Join fellow Kiwanians Andrew Yaggie and Chris Carlson at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, for lunch and a program in their newly completed Life Event Center.  Chris and Andrew will showcase their new reception area, talk about the changes in funeral service, technology and how the desires of consumers led to the remodel of an already modern facility.   (Meeting will take place at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home – 301 E. Washington Avenue)
